If you ask Hobbs Ferretti, he’ll tell you Fort Bragg has gone to the dogs. Okay, Hobbs is a dog – a Chihuahua-Miniature Pinscher mix – and can’t actually talk. But that’s all right because Fort Bragg has an animal communicator, Carol Becker, who can translate.

Callie, the miniature pinscher, celebrated her first birthday on Oct. 27. Her adoptive parents, Jennifer Britting and Joseph De Cangi of Lincoln Park, will throw her a party at home, which will include a cake and lots of presents.
